Adonis Furniture Looking to a Bright Future!!

By: Dale T. Read, Editor

Bill and Derek Nazzal of Adonis Furniture want all their sleeper sofa/ futon retail customers to know that the California-based lifestyle furniture company is viable and in fact thriving and stronger than ever. In an interview with BEDROOM Magazine, Bill Nazzal offers some background and perspective for bedding/futon furniture retailers.

"First and foremost we want to thank all our loyal customers for their constant and undaunted support," says Nazzal. "The dealers who buy from us have many suppliers to choose from, and we at Adonis Furniture thank our retail partners for their continued support and loyalty," says Nazzal. "We also want them and any prospective furniture retailers to know that Adonis Furniture today is a strong and thriving company."

Explaining the details of recent events, Nazzal shared with BEDROOM Magazine that the past year "had proven to be a very strained time for Adonis Furniture and our customers alike." According to Nazzal in the spring of last year, Adonis lost its largest, long-standing and previously most reliable factory. Nazzal further explained, "This factory supplied our Superbody Line, as well as our promotional frames and platform beds." Needless to say, the magnitude of an unplanned closing like this was enormous to Adonis and the company’s retail customers. "With no way to immediately replenish our inventory," says Nazzal, "the shortages were felt by all three distribution centers, and our customers soon thereafter."

On a positive note, Nazzall confidently tells BEDROOM Magazine, "We went to work, and we have been working diligently with new factories to get all these items into production and back in stock." Nazzall further notes that the new suppliers have a far greater capacity, and therefore will be able to keep the Adonis warehouse stocked more efficiently, while permitting work processes to be streamlined and at the same time increase product quality control. Further assuring his customers, Nazzall states, "This is happening now! We have already started to receive containers, and our inventory is continuing to grow. We will be back to full capacity within the next two months." (by February 2007.)

Adonis : Alive, Well and Thriving

Squashing any negative rumors, circulating in the lifestyle/futon industry, Nazzal and his son Derek re-iterate that the company has met its challenges and is alive and well. "Some of our customers may have heard negative rumors concerning Adonis’ future. Well we are here to assure sleeper sofa, futon furniture dealers that these rumors are completely unjustified and totally false."

Derek Nazzal emphasizes that the company has long-standing commitments to future growth in the marketplace. "Our history speaks for itself. My dad started Adonis Furniture in 1998 in order to consistently supply quality furniture for our ten retail stores located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our need at the time as retailers was as great then as our retail customer’s needs for quality and reliability are today."

Bill Nazzall adds, "With over 30 years of business between retail and wholesale manufacturing, Adonis Furniture is a strong, viable and thriving company. We pride ourselves in understanding the needs and concerns of our retail customers, and in the strength of the positive relationships we have created with those customers and our manufacturing suppliers.

Both Bill and Derek express personal commitment and a sense of determination to do the right thing for their customers. "The Nazzal family name proudly stands for unmatched quality and commitment," says Bill. "Adonis Furniture has and always will aim to provide the highest level of service to all our business partners."
