"Our retailer base has doubled since last January’s Las Vegas Market, and we are seeing an increased desire on the part of retailers to find unique products that mirror national organic food and health trends," he said.

OMI mattresses have addressed this niche market with both products and independent organic certifications. In 2006, OMI became the first mattress to receive certification for low chemical emissions from The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute^™.

This prestigious GREENGUARD certification is awarded only to products that meet the organization’s stringent air-quality emission requirements for off-gassing of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

The OMI factory has also been independently certified by Quality Assurance International (QAI) as a production facility that is managed and operated in accordance with the Organic Foods Production Act and the National Organic Program.
