Park Place Expands Product Offerings
and Las Vegas Showroom
Edwin Schoffner, Vice President of Sales, reports that despite
overall market conditions, Park Place has managed to grow and
make inroads with key retailers, expand and diversify product
offerings, as well as expand their showroom in Las Vegas.
While several manufacturers can claim strength or advancement during
a down market, Schoffner suggests that his company can make the
claim of being one of the original product innovators. Considering
that the owners of Park Place were responsible for the original
airbed (Comfortaire) as well as the Wellness Collection (Magnetic
Therapy, Cool Therapy and EcoTherapy), Park Place’s claim to
innovation is well-founded.
But innovation alone has not guaranteed Park Place’s success.
Instead, creating products that have benefited both consumers and
retailers, has secured the company a place in the bedding industry.
Park Place has introduced a full line of 8-inch to 10-inch visco-elastic
memory foam mattresses, having the exact materials and performance
features of the major memory foam line offered to consumers. The
8-inch and the 10-inch memory foam mattresses have become the #4 and
#5 sellers for the company.
Park Place will also be introducing six pocketed coil SKUs in the
series with zoned coils (offering a varied firmness and
responsiveness) and a zoned topper. Units will include comfort
layers made out of latex, visco-elastic memory foam, visco/latex
foam combination and micro-coils on top of the pocketed coil base.
This line was developed to give retailers a high-performing, yet
cost-effective alternative to pocketed coils. The line is expected
to retail from $499 to $999.
Park Place continues to use soy based Preserve® foams, wherever
possible. In the long haul, Park Place believes that the continued
investment in a soy based foam product will yield cost savings,
along with establishing the company as an environmentally
responsible manufacturer.
Retailers can see Park Place’s newest products at the expanded
showroom, B0901 at the World Market Center in Las Vegas.
