Sam Chase, Chairman of FabricTech2000, is very clear about how his company’s top-of-bed barriers and liners differ from the competitive products. With those forceful words, Chase says he is very confident and upbeat about meeting both mattress and pillow manufacturers as well as the many sleep product retailers who will attend the Las Vegas market.

Chase admits that the company has kept a low profile. However despite a low marketing profile, FabricTech2000 has been working with both mattress and furniture manufacturers to create a full line of barriers and liners. "It is very important for a consumer who invests in a new sleep set, as well as top of bed products and upholstered furniture to protect what they have just purchased. It’s also important for FabricTech to not only offer barrier protection, but also to keep the feel, the touch, the comfort of the new product." Chase says that his company has worked very closely with several manufacturers, and now the company is looking to expand and grow by reaching out to both home furnishing and bedding/mattress manufacturers, as well as retailers selling mattresses, pillows, futons, toppers and other bedroom products.

Chase informs BEDROOM Magazine that FabricTech2000’s product line was developed by working closely with paid consultant Dr. Philip Tierno, a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at NYC University Hospital who wrote the Oprah Book Club "The Secret Life of Germs". Chase notes that Dr. Tierno may be the most visible scientist when it comes to dealing with the microscopic world of insects, germ contaminants and diseases. He has been on MSNBC, the TODAY Show, 20/20, CBS and Oprah. Chase also notes that Dr. Teirno reports on research that shows that the bedroom is the second dirtiest room in the house, behind the kitchen, which harbors bacteria and germs. The variety of contaminants and organisms that can be harbored in our mattresses, pillows, toppers, sheets and rugs make them breeding grounds for disease, infections and contamination.

Chase explains that FabricTech2000’s mattress protection program is marketed through Multi-Master, the leading furniture warranty and service provider. Unlike competitive systems, FabricTech2000 and Multi-Master actually offer an insurance program through such companies as American Trust and IGI. The FabricTech2000 program is unique in that its warranty claims are handled through a bonafide insurance company. Chase notes that this is a departure from other mattress protection programs. He noted that the program is in every state but Oklahoma.

FabricTech2000 also announced that it would begin distribution of its second generation PillowBarrier^™ Pure Flow^™, which includes a patent pending air-filtration membrane that traps allergens, dust mites, germs and impurities before they reach either the pillow or the consumer.
