Greenville, SC-based Park Place Corporation is
pleased to announce that David E. Karr, Chief Financial Officer for
Park Place and President of PPC’s subsidiary, Comfortaire, has been
elected as Trustee for ISPA (International Sleep Products
Association).
David Orders, VP/Administration, steps down as
immediate past chair and retires from the board after six years, but
continues to be a member of the ISPA International Task Force
Committee.
The ISPA Board of Trustees represents the
association, its members and its principles. It regulates the
association’s business conduct, disbursement of funds, committees
and all aspects of ISPA membership including meetings, dues, rights
and privileges. ISPA is the trade organization for mattress
manufacturers and their suppliers around the world.
According to Jimmy Orders, "We are proud of David
Orders’ contribution as Trustee at ISPA. We have confidence that
David Karr will also make significant contributions to this
prestigious association."
Park Place Corporation, founded in 1931 as Orders Mattress
Company is headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina on a 40-acre
campus in a Century 2000, state-of-the-art designed facility. Park
Place manufactures mattresses primarily under the Park Place and
Comfortaire brands. Founded during the throes of the Great
Depression, the company continues to operate under the direction of
three third-generation members of the Orders family. According to
