Based on Past Successes, Park Place Corporation

Expands Sleep Therapy Line

Edited by Dale T. Read, Editor-in-Chief

Edwin Shoffner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Park Place Corporation recently announced that the Greenville, SC-based mattress company will be expanding its popular Sleep Therapy line at the July Las Vegas Market. Based on the successes of the existing Cool Therapy, Aloe Therapy, and Magnetic Therapy, which are all marketed under the Sleep Therapy umbrella, the company will be adding four new concepts to the line for the purposes of promoting, health, sleep, and well-being. Speaking of the existing products, Shoffner said, “These products have been very popular with our retailers. We’ve been able to place them in a lot of stores.

We’ve also received a lot of press, including a national article written about them towards the end of 2005.”
As a result of the success of Sleep Therapy to date, Park Place will be introducing four new products at the July Las Vegas Market.

These include:

  • Heat Therapy—These products will utilize Outlast® in the ticking. The basic premise behind Outlast is that it pulls heat away from the body, stores it, and releases it back to the body, if needed, similar to the medical product icy/hot.

  • Eco Therapy—These products will utilize ticking made from bamboo. Bamboo sheets can be found at major retailers. “They are a wonderful all-natural story,” says Shoffner. “The product absorbs moisture, is extremely soft, hypoallergenic, and is eco-friendly. When we couple this technology with a 100% pure latex core, we have a real ‘green’ story to tell our consumers.”

  • Oxygen Therapy—These products will utilize Holofiber®, which increases oxygen levels within the body, through increased circulation. This promotes health, and healing.

Park place will also be introducing a product called Aroma Therapy, with the first model focusing on the soothing/relaxing aroma of Lavender, which is in the ticking. Testing shows that the smell will remain for three-five years, and create a wonderful sleep environment.
