Sealy Launches Website Dedicated to Healthy Sleep

A new Web site ( www.sleepsoundly.com ), developed by Sealy (NYSE: ZZ), is designed to help everyone sleep more soundly.

Sealy, the world’s largest bedding manufacturer, announced in late April the launch of SleepSoundly.com, a new Web site dedicated to educating people about the importance of healthy sleep and providing tips, insight and expert advice to help them achieve it. The Web site is part of a consumer education campaign led by Sealy with help from the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), a widely respected source on sleep wellness.

“Sealy has been successful throughout its 125 year history because we have focused single-mindedly on helping people get a great night’s sleep,” said Philip Dobbs, Sealy’s Senior Vice President, Marketing. “We’re committed to industry-leading initiatives like SleepSoundly.com to promote healthy, restorative sleep.”
The educational information, tips and statistical data contained in SleepSoundly.com are used with the permission of the NSF. The Web site furthers NSF’s mission, which is to improve public health by raising awareness about sleep’s importance.

“Sleep is one of the most important elements in cognitive and physical performance,” said Richard L. Gelula, NSF chief executive officer. “People aren’t getting enough healthy sleep. It’s becoming an epidemic that’s affecting every part of our lives—our health, our work and our relationships.”

Sealy has partnered with the NSF since 2001 to sponsor a wide range of initiatives, including the annual National Sleep Awareness Week campaign and a comprehensive sleep wellness training program for retail sales associates, which was the first of its kind in the bedding industry. Earlier this year, Sealy announced it would continue its ongoing commitment to sleep education with a two-year partnership agreement with NSF.

SleepSoundly.com provides the trusted information people need for healthy sleep through every life stage and was created through a partnership between Sealy, the world’s largest bedding manufacturer, and the National Sleep Foundation (NSF). NSF is an independent nonprofit organization that is dedicated to advancing sleep-related education, research and advocacy. This relationship allows SleepSoundly.com to offer the latest sleep tools, tips, articles and activities for children, teens, adults and seniors.
