Serta Premiered the Vera Wang by Serta® Serenity Collection at the Las Vegas Market
Serta International proudly displayed the Vera Wang by Serta Serenity Collection of specialty beds at Las Vegas Market to build upon its successful Vera Wang line. This new collection adds visco-elastic memory foam and latex choices to the Vera Wang by Serta line.
“Since its retail launch, Vera Wang by Serta has been a huge success,” said Serta President, Robert Sherman. Retailers report that adding Vera Wang product significantly increases sales in the $999–$2000 price range, he noted. “In 2007, its first full year, we anticipate over $100 million in retail sales,” Sherman says. The line debuted in 2006.
Created in collaboration with Serta Mattress Company, the Vera Wang by Serta collection embodies the designer’s deep appreciation for style, comfort and unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.
Nearly 47 percent of newlyweds buy a mattress as their first major home furnishing purchase. “With Vera Wang’s authority as the premier designer of all things bridal, this line also allows us to tap into the bridal market,” explained Maria Balistreri, Serta’s Vice President of brand management.
The new Vera Wang by Serta Serenity Collection included two visco beds, priced from $999–$1299. The covers featured Smart Fabric Technology™ from Outlast®. This space age technology reacts to body heat to balance the temperature swings that cause restless nights. The high-end models also featured Embraceable Comfort™, a down-like comfort layer exclusive to Vera Wang beds.
There were four Talalay latex models in the new collection, priced from $1499–$2999. Talalay is the most consistant and durable latex foam in the world. This layer is porous, breathable, hypoallergenic and naturally anti-microbial. A luxurious knit tick is enhanced with aloe vera for a silky, smooth finish and quilted in a fresh floral design, inspired by Vera Wang’s latest bridal collection.
The Serenity Collection beds are available to retailers for spring delivery.
