Thinsulate™ Insulation for Bedding Introduced to Russian Consumers
In 2006, Kulinar, one of Russia’s major domestic duvet manufacturers, launched its Superior Brand bedding program, featuring Thinsulate insulation. To date, consumers have been very receptive to the Thinsulate insulation branded bedding. Pillows and duvets featuring Thinsulate insulation are available at retail stores throughout Russia with a large presence at retailer Metro Cash & Carry as well as Tvoy Dom. With market interest in the new Thinsulate insulation products for bedding growing rapidly, the 3M Russia team is very encouraged. Earlier this summer, another large Russian manufacturer, Darges, began producing bedding featuring Thinsulate insulation branded product under the “Teole” label, which they will test market through September.
An excellent alternative to down fill, Thinsulate insulation for bedding is hypoallergenic and available in a variety of weights and lofts. A scientific blend of four different fibers gives Thinsulate insulation its lightweight, breathable, lofty warmth. Three weights of Thinsulate insulation for bedding (120 gram, 150 gram and 250 gram) give designers multiple options for creating the perfect drape, look and feel—be it a lightweight blanket or thick, luxurious comforter.
Not only soft and luxurious, Thinsulate insulation makes bedding care easy. Just like the countless number of mittens, boots and outerwear that have featured Thinsulate insulation for nearly 30 years, the insulation fibers are breathable and moisture resistant. Thinsulate insulation for bedding can also be washed in hot water and tumble-dried on low heat or professionally dry-cleaned—keeping its shape and loft year after year. And with fewer cleaning restrictions, bedding designers are allowed more freedom to unleash their creativity.
