Sectional sofas are resurfacing in furniture stores and living
rooms across the country. Perhaps the return to the sectional is due
to the comfort and relaxation it evokes. But now American
Leather’s sectionals offer one more bonus—they can carry the
world’s most comfortable sofa sleeper.
For this Spring Market,
American Leather unveils its latest
design in cutting-edge convertible sleeping. The company’s
proprietary and award-winning “Comfort Sleepers” by designers Robert
and Barbara Tiffany feature the Tiffany 24/7™, a patented sofa
sleeper mechanism design that offers the industry’s most comfortable
and innovative convertible sofa bed.
The much-acclaimed Comfort Sleeper offers customers the comforts
of a standard mattress, tucked conveniently into an American Leather
sofa, enabling simple conversion from sofa to bed. Plus, it is
designed with a solid wood support base underneath the entire
mattress, eliminating the metal bars that traditionally have been
associated with a poor night’s sleep.
Now, this breakthrough in convertible comfort has been redesigned
to fit into American Leather’s new sectional seating designs. With a
reconfigured mechanism that no longer relies on the arms of the sofa
to support the track, this new sofa sleeper is designed to easily
fit inside a sectional—making this sectional collection both
fashionable and highly functional—day and night.
“The Comfort Sleeper has been one of the company’s best-selling
products and its space-saving and innovative design enables even a
full king-sized bed to fit inside a moderate sized sofa,” said Bob
Duncan, CEO of American Leather. “We now have taken this patented
technology and applied it to our new sectional collection, so
consumers can have full sectional seating comfort, while adding the
practicality of the Comfort Sleeper.”
This new Comfort Sleeper will be shown in two new Tiffany
designs—the Andrea for American Leather, which is a modular bumper
sectional design; and the Alise for Au, which is a soft,
transitional design with a gentle radius on the top of the back and
arms. Both of these designs will feature American Leather’s popular
Queen “plus”-sized Comfort Sleeper.
In addition to the new Tiffany designs, the Comfort Sleeper will
also be featured this Market in two new sectionals for au: Cameron,
a transitional L-shaped design with classic roll arm styling and
tapered legs; and the Danielle, a sleek track arm sectional design
that fits into the smallest footprint of any sectional, due to its
thin track arm styling.
Like all Comfort Sleepers, the newer mechanism design allows all
mattresses to be 80 inches long, which is five to eight inches
longer than conventional sofa beds. Furthermore, it requires 10
inches less floor space in front of the sofa to open into a
bed—making it a practical design for even small living room areas.
