Magniflex, Italy’s Largest Mattress Manufacturer, Magniflex, one of the world’s largest luxury mattress brands, brought their Gold line and Silver mattresses to New York City and Washington, D.C. this year. Magniflex’s recently opened store, in the Soho district of New York, is their first store in the U.S. and therefore fittingly displays the company’s royal offering: a $24,000 22-carat gold mattress and matching $1,000 22-carat gold pillow. Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C. the Healthy Back showrooms are featuring one of Magniflex’s most unique beds, one that combines a sterling silver and cashmere fabric wrapped around a dual-comfort core which can be personalized to the individual comfort preferences of each partner. Known for its innovative mix of ergonomically designed products that help relieve back and neck pain, Healthy Back will be carrying Magniflex’s dual comfort Magnifico line. The dual core mattress is considered a solution for couples that have different comfort preferences, yet want to sleep together on one mattress. The 12-inch Magnifico is composed of layers of 4-inch and 2-in Memoform (memory foam) surrounding a core of Elioform (an enhanced water expanded polyurethane). The combined process is treated with Airyform technology to ensure the best possible ventilation between the layers of foam. The silver and cashmere ticking is hypoallergenic and is dust-mite resistant. Offered in queen, king and California king sizes each mattress incorporates two cores, each with a “softer” and “firmer” side to the blocks of foam. Consumers are able to easily unzip the ticking and flip the blocks to the desired comfort zone. Healthy Back posted on its website as it launched the new line: “We proudly offer you the best of—Magniflex! We are proud to introduce an innovative new sleep system made for Healthy Back by Magniflex in Italy. This distinctive sleep system combines tradition with the latest technical advances to create a luxurious sleep experience—personalized for you (dual core).” Magniflex’s Gold Mattress Collection is also a precious commodity in its New York offering. In addition to its inherent luxury, each piece is thermo-regulating, anti-bacterial, odor-proof, and anti-stress. It is also customized to fit the comfort levels of each person by adjusting the five zoned memory foam construction, thus offering each sleeper a rich and restful sleep. In addition to the Gold line, the New York store at 59 Crosby St. in New York also features the Argento sterling silver mattress, the Magnimodel Merino wool-topped mattress and the new “GeoEthic”, a soy-based organic mattress.
“GeoEthic” has a soy-based visco-memory foam 10-inch mattress core, housed in a honey-colored, soy-based ticking. Available in all standard mattress sizes, the product retails for $2,399 in queen size. GeoEthic is a new collection of mattresses and pillows based on the relationship between nature and man. Magniflex not only believes that the sleeping environment should enhance the sleeper’s world but should enhance the world in which we live. To that end, the GeoEthic line is responsibly made, with natural elements using an environmentally friendly process. Many of the components, such as Memofoam and Aloe are familiar to the consumer. And while consumers may be familiar with materials such as bamboo, lempur (wood fiber), corn, crabyon (derived from shells), marine algae and soy, they are not yet accustomed to the idea of using these materials as part of their mattress. Yet, in using these components, Magniflex has considered the well-being of the individual and the well-being of the planet. It is a technology that respects the individual and nature. Henry Burney, who heads the national sales effort for Magniflex in the United States, commented on the organic introduction. “The organic segment of the mattress market is growing very rapidly, as consumers today are as careful about what materials go against their bodies as inside them. We are very excited to add GeoEthic Soy to our mix of natural products that provide consumers with a comfortable, safe and restorative night’s sleep.” Speaking about Magniflex’s recent affiliation with Healthy Back, Burney noted that this new relationship was key to the company’s evolution of brand in the U.S. “Washington and its affluent suburbs is a very important market for us. The ability to team with a respected brand like Healthy Back facilitates our entry into this key market,” said Burney. Founded over 50 years ago in a suburb of Florence, Italy, today 20 million people in 45 countries sleep on Magniflex mattresses. Known as the world leader in quality, comfort and innovation, its central manufacturing facility produces up to 10,000 mattresses a day, 80-percent of which are exported to countries such as Japan, Spain, Germany, Russia and now, the United States. Magniflex recently opened a showroom at 59 Crosby St. in Manhattan and a national dealer network throughout the United States. Visit www.magniflex.com for more information. |
