No Matter Your Comfort Level, Sleep Style or

Budget, Sealy Has a Specialty Mattress for You

Sealy Continues Specialty Focus

At Las Vegas Furniture Market in July, Sealy turned its attention to specialty bedding with a wide array of new introductions.

"The specialty market is a major driving force behind our overall growth strategy," said Philip Dobbs, senior vice president of marketing for Sealy. "We expect one-third of our growth to come from specialty products, with another third coming from domestic innerspring and the last third coming from our international division."

With that in mind, Sealy has introduced a new collection of TrueForm™ by Sealy Posturepedic, which offers a wider range of comfort feels and an orthopedic support system called PostureCore. The core is constructed with foams of varying densities, thereby creating the comfort level and support desired by the individual. The upgraded TrueForm™ line also offers the cool comfort of Outlast® fabric, which wicks away heat and redistributes warmth. This fabric, developed for NASA, is noted for its heat regulation properties and the improved sleeping comfort it delivers.

"We’ve created a superior line of memory foam mattresses that we believe will revolutionize the way retailers, retail sales associates and consumers think about the category," said Cindy Wenger, Sealy’s vice president of marketing for specialty bedding. "The technology behind the new TrueForm line is extraordinary and highlights Sealy’s leadership in research and innovation that enhances the lives of consumers."

As the demand for specialty products has increased from both retailers and consumers, Sealy has continued to drive growth in the latex category with its SpringFree® by Sealy Posturepedic line. The new model, introduced in July offers consumers the convenience of a comfort triple-choice at one price point.

"We fully expect our latex offerings to continue playing a major role in our growth moving forward," said Larry Rogers, president of Sealy North America. "Our commitment to the category is evident in many ways, such as our investment in our first U.S. latex manufacturing plant and the introduction of meaningful additions to the SpringFree collection that bring value to our customers and consumers."

In addition to changes in TrueForm™ and SpringFree®, Sealy is bolstering its overall specialty offerings with the introduction of the Sealy Comfort Series®, which provides lower price point memory foam and latex foam products and brings superior value to the specialty category for consumers.

"This strategy creates more affordable versions of our current specialty products and we believe it will invite more consumers to enjoy the benefits of materials like latex and memory foam," said Cindy Wenger, Sealy’s vice president of marketing for specialty bedding.

The new TrueForm™ by Sealy Posturepedic line, SpringFree® by Sealy Posturepedic model and Sealy Comfort Series® specialty products are expected to be available this fall.
