Very often a furniture and mattress retailer experiences sales
associate turnover in approximately six month cycles. This makes it
very difficult to maintain a high level of training in the sales

well. Customers shopping for a new mattress often have pre-conceived
notions about firmness and comfort. They enter the bedding
department or gallery with a pre-existing idea of what the words
“soft, medium and firm” mattress mean. There they meet a sales
person who typically queries them with common questions on size and
brand preference and on what their firmness preference is and the
RSA then proceeds to recommend a series of mattresses to test rest.
The result is an elaborate process of best guessing what the
customer means by the words ‘soft, or firm or plush, or medium’.

the kiosk by the customer during the accessory selection process is
also valuable information to the retail sales person in identifying
the correct mattress.

through to the mattress sleep surface by using patent pending air
technology to diagnose the customer’s exact comfort preference,
substantially reducing the amount of time it takes to complete the
mattress selection process.
