Simmons Appoints New Senior Vice President
of Sales Operations and Development
In August, Simmons Bedding Company announced the promotion of Brad
Hill to the position of senior vice president of sales operations
and development. Mr. Hill joined Simmons in 2005 and has served as
the Company’s senior vice president of product development and
supply chain management since last September.
“Brad’s extensive background in sales, marketing and finance makes
him a natural choice for this position,” said Steve Fendrich,
Simmons’ executive vice president of sales. “Brad has demonstrated
tremendous leadership abilities while overseeing our research and
development facility, supply chain and new product development. We
look forward to utilizing Brad’s experience and skills to enhance
the capabilities of Simmons’ sales force.”
Mr. Hill’s new responsibilities include supervising the financial,
analytical, training, performance management and account development
aspects of the sales department, as well as providing resources,
tools and systems to increase its effectiveness.
Mr. Hill previously worked in sales at Monsanto and its spin-off,
Solutia Inc., where he led its nylon division as vice president,
sales and marketing. Prior to that assignment, Mr. Hill held
strategic positions at both companies in finance and sales.
