Vinyl Products Debuts Updated Specialty Bed Line

Vinyl Products Manufacturing. is celebrating its 36th year as “The Home of America’s Best Sleep” with an updated line of mattress tickings, new additions to its adjustable air and hybrid flotation lines, and an improved Sleep Touch Air inflation system. One of the nation’s oldest alternative bedding manufacturers, Vinyl Products supplies retailers, distributors, and manufacturers in 10 countries with products covering the water, air, and specialty foam mattress categories. The company’s branded lines include Sleep Touch Adjustable Air; Feather Edge Flotation systems; Dreamweaver and Discovery water mattresses; and the Dreamweaver Elegance series of Posturfoam mattresses. Vinyl Products also manufactures several private-label lines and O.E.M. components for the waterbed and airbed markets, with all products “100% Proudly Made in the U.S.A.”.

The new damask fabrics for the Sleep Touch Adjustable Air, Feather Edge Flotation, and Comfort Cover lines made their debut at the winter Specialty Sleep Products Exhibition in Las Vegas’ new World Market Center. Featuring Burlington’s exclusive Bioguard anti-microbial treatment and available in either National-standard or California TB-603 compliant versions, the tickings are also being offered as add-on covers for the company’s Posturfoam line and its 7” and 9” air mattresses.

Vinyl Products also introduced at the winter market a new Swan Pillowtop model added to the Sleep Touch Adjustable Air and Feather Edge Flotation programs. With a cream-colored Lustriana damask, bright gold accents, and extra-plush quilting, the Swan Pillowtop offers an attractive intermediate price-point to the popular Phoenix and high-end Egret pillowtop models.

Vinyl Products also unveiled a new Sleep Touch Air inflation system, used to regulate mattress firmness in adjustable air-supported sleep systems. Already touted as the strongest, fastest, and most reliable inflation system on the market, the improved Sleep Touch system features a quieter operation cycle, additional thermal protection, and is offered in 110v as well as 220v configurations for international applications.

Founded in 1970, Vinyl Products attributes the company’s success in a somewhat volatile industry to a focus on satisfying consumer expectations and a “dealer-friendly” approach. Convinced that modern consumers have grown all-too-wise to glib catch-phrases and meaningless gimmicks, the company emphasizes its commitment to quality materials, sound designs, and proven construction techniques in the informative point-of-purchase materials Vinyl Products provides to their dealers.

The company’s toll free in-house customer service staff brings new dealers up to speed on product knowledge and provides answers to consumer’s questions and product comparisons while the consumer is still in the dealer’s store. Available drop-ship programs with electronic tracking notification enable dealers to expand their market base without incurring additional delivery and personnel expenses. And, with production capabilities geared to all conventional, waterbed, adjustable frame, and recreational vehicle mattress sizes, dealers can be confident of meeting virtually any customer’s needs. Since most products ship within 48 hours, and all are scheduled within 10 business days, dealers can run with leaner inventory levels allowing for continual fine-tuning of their product mix and faster response to market shifts.

Vinyl Products points out that one out of every five mattresses sold in the United States is not an innerspring, and literally hundreds of millions of advertising dollars are being spent every year exposing American consumers to alternative sleeping surfaces. As consumers become accustomed to the wider options available, they will gravitate to those retailers who can offer them that selection and provide the necessary information to make their choice.

Regardless of what type of mattress the consumer ultimately decides on, those retailers will continue to gain an increasingly larger share of their markets, which, in the long run, is to the benefit of both the retailer and its suppliers. And after 36 years, Vinyl Products continues to keep its eye on the long run.
